F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the surveillance of Swedish airspace 24/7, year-round, and leads the Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will become part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the international situation and Sweden's NATO membership. About the Unit

The Air Force's Air Control and Air Defence Battalion is tasked with surveilling Swedish airspace and directing combat aircraft. The battalion conducts live duty 24/7, year-round from facilities across the country. The Air Defence Company is responsible for protecting the Air Control Battalion's facilities.

The primary task of the Air Defence Company is to detect, locate, identify, and counter security-threatening activities against the Air Force's command and control systems. The Air Defence Company consists of Air Defence Platoons; all platoons utilize technical sensors, vehicles, and various types of weapon systems to fulfill their mission. The Air Defence Company is characterized by flexible and mobile operations over large areas in small units. The Air Defence Platoons have the ability to operate throughout the country in all seasons and at all hours of the day. The Air Defence Company operates under varying physical and psychological conditions, thus placing high demands on its employees regarding physical fitness.

Main Responsibilities

The Company Staff is looking for a Quartermaster who, together with the Logistics Assistant, Technical Manager, and Technical Assistant, forms the logistics function. The logistics function focuses on ensuring that the company's operational activities run without restrictions. Additionally, the logistics function supports exercises and production. War planning will also be part of the role. Much of the work consists of problem-solving and collaboration with various stakeholders.

As the Quartermaster, the work involves close cooperation with the logistics function's positions as well as the platoons to maintain, supply, and keep the company's systems and materiel in operational status. Other tasks include supporting training, follow-up, and quality assurance.

Examples of tasks for the Quartermaster at the company include:

  • Follow-up of the company's materiel status in the support systems PRIO and LIFT.
  • Responsible for the company's work with MFO and AFO.
  • Responsible for the company's infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the company's procurement.
  • Training of the company's personnel.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Category B Driver's License, manual transmission.
  • Completed GMU (General Military Training) or compulsory military service with a passing grade.
  • Experience working with similar tasks.
  • Officer or Specialist Officer education.

Other Information

Employment Type: Permanent position. The Swedish Armed Forces may apply a six-month probation period.

Employment Level: Full-time

Work Location: Uppsala. F 16 also has operations in other locations, which may involve occasional business trips.

Working Hours: Mainly daytime. Evening and weekend duty may occur during exercise activities.

Start Date: By agreement.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting.

Position: Military OR6-7/OF-1.
